Here’s a short report from our trip to Belgrade and our skiing holiday in Kopaonik 🎿⛷️

Belgrade during the Christmas–New Year season is wonderful — delicious, lively, and noisy in the best way. Serbs are friendly and open. Brass bands and drums are everywhere in the streets. It really feels like you’re inside a Kusturica film (which, by the way, we actually watched there with the kids — Life is a Miracle 🙂).

It’s about 3.5 hours by car from Belgrade to Kopaonik: half of the journey is on a beautiful toll highway, and the other half on… something that feels almost like a country road 🙂

We really liked the resort itself. The highest point is 2,017 meters. Even though this winter in Serbia hasn’t been very snowy so far, there are an incredible number of snow cannons and a thick snow cover on the slopes — not a single stone in sight during five days of skiing.

We hired a 22-year-old instructor, Ognjen, for the kids for a couple of days, and they quickly remembered how to ski. They even wanted to keep skiing with the instructor instead of with us 🤔 Later, however, the reason became clear — he was treating them to sweets and huge donuts from a secret café on the slopes 🙂

There are blue and red runs; the black ones are still closed. The easy slopes are quite busy, while the more challenging ones are calm and comfortable.

What really impressed us was the huge number of places to eat — at the top, on the slopes, and at the base. We realised that Serbia is all about great food 😋 An excellent spa hotel with a hot outdoor pool, kids’ entertainment, and various saunas — everything just as it should be. And after the eurozone, prices in dinars are a real pleasure.

Отчёт про нашу поездку в Белград и катание на лыжах в Копаонике 🎿⛷

Рождественско-новогодний Белград прекрасен — вкусен, весел и шумен. Сербы доброжелательные и открытые. Повсюду на улицах духовые оркестры и барабаны. Ощущение, что ты внутри фильма Кустурицы (который мы там с детьми, кстати, и посмотрели) 😁

До Копаоника примерно 3,5 часа на машине, половина пути по прекрасной платной трассе, половина пути по… практически просёлочной дороге 😅

Сам курорт понравился. Высшая точка 2017 метров. Несмотря на то, что пока что зима в Сербии не очень снежная, на склонах невероятное обилие пушек и толстый слой снега — ни камушка на трассах ни попалось за 5 дней катания.

Взяли детям на пару дней 22-летнего инструктора Огнена и они быстро вспомнили, как кататься. Даже хотели продолжать кататься с тренером, а не с нами 🤔 Впрочем, потом, нашлось объяснение — он подкармливал их конфетами и огромными пончиками из секретного кафе на склоне 😂

Трассы есть синие и красные, чёрные пока закрыты. На лёгких трассах народу много, на более сложных спокойно.

Поразило обилие едален: наверху, на склонах, под горой. Мы поняли, что Сербия это про вкусную еду 😋 Отличный СПА отель с горячим бассейном под открытым небом, детскими развлечениями, разными банями — всё, как положено. При этом после еврозоны цены в динарах очень радуют 😉

Одним словом, могу рекомендовать Копаоник для катания и прекрасного отдыха. Если будут вопросы, пишите, расскажу подробнее!

🌍 Our community has grown to more than 70 coaches from 10 countries, reflecting the diversity, international spirit, and richness of perspectives that make our Chapter so unique.
⠀
🤝 We were delighted to welcome 10 new members from the very first Erickson Coaching International coach training group in Cyprus, strengthening the bridge between world-class coach education and our local professional community.
⠀
✨ One of our most exciting milestones: we are applying for Charter Chapter status — a significant step in the maturity and recognition of ICF Cyprus.
⠀
🧭 Since June, a new Board has been serving the Chapter with energy, care, and commitment — thank you for stepping into leadership and stewardship.
⠀
📚 Throughout the year, we delivered meaningful value through a number of events in different languages:

— Our Business Series sessions;
— ⁠A collaborative project with CIM — Cyprus Business School;
— ⁠International Coaching Week, celebrated with impact and visibility;
— ⁠Our presence and voice at major platforms such as the ICPAC Mediterranean Finance Summit and Reflect Festival;

We also deepened our international collaboration, working closely with ICF Poland, ICF Romania and ICF Ghana Chapter, reinforcing that we are part of a truly global coaching movement.

🌟 We are honoured that Marilyn W. Atkinson, Founder of Erickson Coaching International, will join us as the keynote speaker alongside with other distinguished international coaches. This will be a landmark event for coaching and leadership in Cyprus and the wider region.

Трансформация

Открытие дня: прошёл тест MBTI — Myers–Briggs Type Indicator.

Я впервые проходил его 25 лет назад и вот сегодня во второй раз.

Произошла очень интересная трансформация: я превратился из INTJ-A в INFJ-A.

За 25 лет я сильно изменился в понимании себя, других людей, своих и чужих и эмоций. Я начал больше чувствовать, чем думать и больше доверять не логике, а интуиции.

Тая также прошла тест. Я подгрузил наши типы личности в Chat GPT и он выдал нам поразительно точное описание всех сложностей в наших отношениях и дал рекомендации по взаимодействию, к которым мы путём мучительных проб и ошибок сами пришли за 21 год жизни вместе.

Хороший тест! И бесплатный к тому же.

A trip to Corfu (Greece)😎☀️🏝⛱🌊

A trip to Corfu (Greece) to celebrate Dmitri Babiner‘s 50th birthday — my friend since the St. Petersburg Ernst & Young days — completely switched me into vacation mode 😜
⠀
First of all, I haven’t seen anything as stunning as Corfu in a long time. The views from the villa and the days we spent cruising on a yacht were absolutely breathtaking.
⠀
Second, it’s been ages since I’ve been in the same place with so many friends and colleagues. People came from London, New York, Dubai, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Portugal, Oman, and Cyprus. Some I hadn’t seen in 4 years, some in 14, and with some I just connected for the first time.
⠀
The sheer concentration of talented, open-minded, and brilliant people was just amazing! Naturally, it led to conversations going until 4 a.m., poker games, and Aperol flowing like there’s no tomorrow…
⠀
Long story short — the photos and videos from this magical trip say it better than any words.
⠀
Happy Birthday Dima and thanks for such a great holiday!

Что-то подвыпал я из собственного канала. Лето… 😎☀️🏝⛱🌊

Поездка на остров Корфу (Греция) на 50-летие Димы Бабинера, моего друга ещё со времён питерского Ernst & Young, меня переключила в нерабочий режим 😜

Во-первых, давно ничего настолько красивого как Корфу не видел. И виды сверху с виллы, и виды с яхты, на которой тусили несколько дней, просто умопомрачительны.

Во-вторых, давно не встречались вместе с таким количеством друзей и коллег. Люди собрались из Лондона, Нью-Йорка, Дубая, Москвы, Питера, из Португалии, Омана, с Кипра. Кого-то не видел 4 года, кого-то 14, а с кем-то только познакомились.

Такая мощная концентрация талантливых, открытых, умных людей — это так приятно! Конечно, разговоры до 4 утра, покер, и Апероль, лившийся, как из рога изобилия… 😁

Короче, фото и видео из этой волшебной поездки лучше всех слов.

🎉 ICF Cyprus Chapter Celebrates 2 Years! 🎂 🥳

Over the past two years, we’ve grown from a small group of 20 to a vibrant community of over 60 members. We’ve hosted dozens of events for both our members and the wider community, fostering connection, learning, and professional growth.

We’re especially proud to have built a dedicated and effective team of professional coaches and to have significantly increased our visibility in Cyprus through active engagement on social media and in public forums.
⠀
As we enter the next chapter, our goals are clear:

✅ Strengthen coaching community in Cyprus;
✅ Attract new members and partners for our initiatives;
✅ Educate and raise awareness about coaching;

THE MAGIC CAVE

A Fairy Tale

For all those who seek.

PART I

Chapter 1. Loss

By a dark, unfriendly river lived a lonely, sorrowful Hedgehog. He was grim and reclusive, a hermit who dwelled all alone in a small house on the edge of the village and spoke to no one. The other animals in the village thought him a grumpy oddball and preferred to stay out of his way.

For instance, if the kittens or puppies, while playing ball, accidentally tossed it over his fence, the Hedgehog would get irritated, stomp his feet, grumble angrily, and, after puncturing the ball with his sharp quills, throw back nothing but a deflated shell. Because of this, the villagers steered clear of his home.

And so the years passed. The path to his house became overgrown with weeds, the fence leaned and turned mossy, and the gate rusted shut. The Hedgehog was completely forgotten.

No one knew that, in truth, the Hedgehog was deeply unhappy and terribly lonely. His parents had abandoned him when he was just a child, and from that moment on, he had been alone. Deep down, he dreamed of having friends and a family, but he didn’t believe it was possible. He didn’t love himself—he was ashamed of his quills and thought life had treated him unfairly. He would often gaze into the river’s reflection for a long time, and what he saw always saddened him.

“Why, oh why do I look so awful?” he would think. “Why these terrible spikes? How did I end up being born like this? No other animal has such unpleasant, ugly, inconvenient quills. No one will ever want to be friends with me, and no one—ever—could love a prickly freak like me. Even my parents left me. Everything I touch gets hurt. I can’t even play ball with the children—my quills just pop it. Poor, miserable me… Why, why did life curse me like this?”

The years went by, and the loneliness only deepened. He grew to despise his life more and more, until eventually he began to hate himself entirely. He fell into a deep, dark depression. He even stopped eating and, in turn, grew very weak. The hardest moments were the nights, when he tossed and turned in bed, unable to sleep, listening to the eerie rustles and cries of the night birds, sobbing silently from despair.
